After our old piano teacher left the school, we looked for a new one for a long time. We tried 3 different teachers before finding Leah. She has a special approach that makes learning fun. When my kid loses focus she immediately comes up with ideas to keep her interested and involved. She has been so inclusive to my other kid who attends the lessons and has so much patience in her teaching approach. We love our lessons with her.

THE PATHWAY
Simply Music follows the way we learn to speak: play first, read later. Here is what the journey typically looks like.
Students learn a broad repertoire of 35–50 real pieces across many styles, including classical, contemporary, blues, jazz and accompaniments. There is no reading required, so the focus is on playing great-sounding music and building confidence from the very first lesson.
Once a solid repertoire is established, music reading is introduced. Students learn rhythm first, then pitch, by reading music they already know how to play. Reading becomes a tool that supports their playing.
Students consolidate their skills, play from written music with increasing confidence, and develop the ability to create and improvise. They continue building their repertoire and move on to more advanced material.
Every student is different. The pace of progress depends on the individual, and the full curriculum continues for several years beyond this point.
